Pakistan Youth Initiative – II – a project Engaging Youth for Building Community Resilience and Promoting Social Cohesion was initiated with the Youth Expos at Fatima Jinnah University and Rawalpindi Arts Council on November 14 and 25, 2018 respectively. Paiman Trust is partner to Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) and UKaid in this project. The project caters to contribute towards culture of peace, reconciliation and social cohesion in Pakistan by empowering youth and harnessing their energies in a positive manner.
The targeted areas of project are Rawalpindi/Islamabad and Multan from where a selected group of 36 males and females in equal number aged between 18 to 29 will conduct training and social action projects while going through youth social exchange program.
Training of Trainers for the selected youth group of 36 (18 males and 18 females) is being held from December 4 to 13, 2018 after which they will proceed for the youth exchange program- 12 of selected youth (residents of Rawalpindi) would leave for Multan to conduct Social Action Plans (SAPs) and training of community volunteers for next three months and similarly 6 selected youth (residents of Multan) come to Islamabad for the same job.
