PAIMAN Alumni Trust is a non governmental, not for profit organization registered with the Joint Registrar of Islamabad Capital Territory under the Trust Act of 1882 on 8th March, 2004. The organization’s multi-faceted services encompass capacity building, economic and social development of community partners, research and advocacy, serving as a resource center for dissemination of updated information as well as serving a platform for civic action for positive change through community mobilization and advocacy. The organization since its establishment in 2004, has successfully implemented more than 100 projects in different sectors.
PAIMAN’s has the largest network of socially and politically active women trainers, social mobilizers and researchers exists across Pakistan. PAIMAN undertakes national and international trainings of the network’s members in the art of leadership development, credible & transparent electoral process, gender mainstreaming, gender based violence, women’s role in transforming the political process, political agenda and political institutions, democracy & governance, advocacy, media relations, networking, micro-enterprise development and social cohesion.
Chairperson
Mr. Shafqat Mehmood is the Chairperson and founder of PAIMAN Alumni Trust. He has served in the defense forces for thirty three years and retired in 2001 as a Brigadier. He holds a masters degree in Strategic studies and is a graduate of Staff College, Toronto, Canada. To his credit, he has a variety of professional courses in management, governance, strategic planning, conflict transformation and peace building. After his retirement in 2001, he led a UN project of women’s political participation in Pakistan which inspired him to work for women emancipation and social empowerment thus in 2004 he founded PAIMAN Alumni Trust.

Mr. Tariq Saeed is a dedicated and passionate social activist with over 20 years of experience in advocating for community development and social justice. With a strong background in construction and real estate development, he has successfully led numerous projects aimed at improving infrastructure and housing for underserved communities. His commitment to social causes is complemented by a deep understanding of sustainable development practices. As a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Saeed brings a unique perspective that bridges social impact with practical construction solutions. He is driven by a vision of building a better, more equitable future for all.
Executive Secretary to the Board
Mossarat Qadeem, Executive Director of PAIMAN Alumni Trust, is a pioneer in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE), interfaith harmony, and Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) in Pakistan. An internationally recognized expert, she has addressed the UN General Assembly and Security Council and is member of WASL and the Commonwealth Women Mediators Network. With a Ph.D. in International Politics and a visiting fellowship at LSE, she blends academic rigor with practical expertise. A prolific author and speaker, she has received numerous accolades, including the UN N-Peace Award and Fatima Jinnah Award.

Ms. Shabana Fayyaz is a distinguished professor at the Defense and Strategic Studies Department of Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, with over 25 years of experience in the teaching profession. She has made significant contributions to academia, specializing in defense and strategic studies. Beyond her academic role, Ms. Fayyaz is the coordinator of the Pakistan chapter of Women Without Borders, advocating for women's empowerment and security. She also serves on the advisory board of the Peace and Collaborative Development Network. Her expertise in education, gender advocacy, and peace development makes her a valuable member of the Board of Directors.

Having served as an elected representative (Nazim) of Union Council (107) Basalli, Mr. Shafqat Ali has a deep understanding of local governance and public service.
