The innovative model of bringing students of Maddrassa and private elites schools to understand the concept of conflict, peace, impact of violent extremism and ways of addressing it has a tremendous scope in the conflict prone and conflict affected city of Peshawar, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. The two institutions represent two different cultures and way of thinking and have developed biases and prejudices against each other. The usual stereotype thinking against each other will be addressed through interaction and greater communication between the students of madrassas and schools. The project aims to help build the capacity of teachers of Maddrassas and schools on various aspects of conflict, peace, interfaith harmony. It will help develop an environment of tolerance and accommodation through Peace Education & awareness rising regarding importance of Human Rights protection, inter-faith & inter-communal understanding in selected schools and Madrassa in Peshawar.
The students of both institutes will be engaged in healthy and creative activities where they learn and act together for building social cohesion. Under this initiative students from schools and maddrassas participated in different competitions to promote peace.
