Gender and Development

GBV Multi-Sectoral Response in KP & FATA: PAIMAN has successfully implemented a project on Gender based Violence with the support of UNFPA to minimize the impact of violence on women and girls, and protect women IDP camps as well, in host communities in crisis/disaster hit areas (Peshawar, Lower Dir and Mohmand Agency). The project covered and benefitted 3000 women directly and 1200 women were able to restore their livelihoods.

Gender based Violence (GBV): PAIMAN has also implemented a project on Gender based Violence with the Support of UN-WOMEN in the flood affected areas of district Rajanpur in South Punjab and district Thatta in Sindh. To avoid Gender Based Violence and to support the survivors affectively, this is an imperative initiative to reach vulnerable women and girls. Under this project 80 community orientation sessions were conducted and over 4,000 people were sensitized including; local influential’s, Service Providers, Duty Bearers and Local community members regarding GBV and its various aspects.

GBV Response to Flood Affected Women and Girls in Southern Sindh: PAIMAN has implemented a project on Gender based Violence with the Support of UNFPA in the flood affected areas of district Hyderabad and Tando Allahyar in Southern Sindh. To avoid Gender Based Violence and to support the survivors affectively, this is an imperative initiative to reach these vulnerable women and girls.
