Two days training workshop was conducted at PAIMAN House Islamabad on 16th and 17th of November 2014 for NGOs/CBOs staff from target districts. A total of 24 representatives of NGOs/CBOs participated in this event. Ms. Bushra Hyder and Mr. Muhammad Shakoor conducted the session and highlighted the core values of the project. The main objective of this initiative was to develop an understanding among participants about the basic concept of violent extremism, community policing and early warning and early response mechanism. The effort was made to bring the participants on board to address the issues of violent extremism in the targeted areas and recognize the role of youth and women in post conflict planning, re-constriction, rehabilitation and in building social cohesion. The participants also shared their views and appreciated PAIMAN’s initiatives towards peace building in KP. Ms. Bushra discussed that how the NGOs/CBOs can collaborate with PAIMAN to address the issue of violent extremism. The participants enthusiastically participated and shared their views and experiences.
